Led by scientists from the National Centre against cancer Tokyo, it reveals that women who drink at least three cups a day have 60% less risk compared to those who do drink occasionally. The study followed 54,000 women aged 40 to 69 years over 15 years. Researchers have divided into four groups based on the number of cups they drank and frequency. They found that women who drank the most coffee were 60% chance of developing cancer of the cervix less than those who drank less than two cups a week. According to researchers, coffee would decrease the rate of insulin, causing a decline in the risk of developing cancer of the cervix.
In France, this disease affects 3,300 women and causes 1,000 deaths per year, according to figures from the National College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists french (CNGOF). Cancer of the cervix, linked to infection by the human papillomavirus (HPV) genitalia is a sexually transmitted infection. There are two vaccines against cervical cancer prevention. They are recommended for girls aged 14, before sexual intercourse. Paid at 65%, they can also be administered to “catch up” for young women 15 to 23 years.
