The daily figure: TV in the bedroom of a teenager is 30 minutes less sleep

Young people with a TV or a computer in their room sleeping 30 minutes less per night than other during the school year. They spend more time watching television, playing video games and surf the Internet. This reveals that a study by Israeli researchers at the University of Haifa and the Jezreel valley college, whose results are published on the website of the university., Haifa.ac.il.
The researchers examined 444 students aged 14 on average. They were asked about their sleep habits about television and the Internet and how they eat or not to their screens. The results show that teens have a computer or a television in their rooms sleeping on average half an hour less than the others. They go to bed averaging 30 minutes later but wake up at the same time. On a year, this represents more than 182 hours of sleep less, or nearly eight days.
Young people with a television in their room watch one hour more per day and those who have their own computer also spend an hour in front of the screen more than others. Generally speaking, one in five eats regularly watching television.
